The most elder-rich period of human history is upon us. This whirlwind of elders is a great opportunity but one that depends on our ability to design with and for elders to be an ongoing engaged part of our communities.

As part of Sibling Architecture’s ‘Designing the age-friendly city‘ day-long takeover of MPavilion 2017, Arup presents an interactive afternoon workshop to explore how we might combine personal experiences and new technologies to shape ‘all-ages’ environments. Within 90 minutes, participants will collectively ‘build’ a space for a senior couple by designing a series of spaces in order to re-think what constitutes social urban living space. Participants will be guided by Arup experts.

This event is free, but registration is essential.

This event is made possible by the Hugh D T Williamson Foundation through funding for MPavilion’s series of events looking at design & science.
