Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub

Indigenous perspectives on urban environments have not been a strong feature of urban research and planning. The Clean Air and Urban Landscapes (CAUL) Hub of the National Environmental Science Program, funded by the Commonwealth Government, is committed to an Indigenous-led approach to help shape our multi-disciplinary research into environmental quality in Australian cities. Through our research into air quality, urban greening, biodiversity, liveabilty and urban systems it is building partnerships to increase our understanding of—and engagement with—Indigenous communities and knowledge in our cities.
