‘Performance Power’: Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten discuss MPavilion 2017

Also featured is a newly released short film that traces the origin story of MPavilion 2017 with dazzling footage of its many incarnations—from day to night, from semicircular performance space to theatre-in-the-round. In the video, Rem and David discuss their ambitions for the space as a hub of spontaneity where the power of performance can bring people together and stimulate debate about “what Melbourne can be” and “how the city, its suburbs and its surrounding country can play together and come together.”
