The Lifted Brow is deeply interested and invested in promoting work from literary and artistic margins, and work from those who self-identify with several demographic margins. How does art and literature provide an accessible, non-physical and autonomous space for self-expression? What are the obstacles for people who seek to be involved in those spaces? And how does this discourse contribute to the actualisation of queer spaces in the physical world and the redistribution of power within arts communities?

In the third of three panels presented as part of the day-long event Queer Some Space—brought to us by The Lifted Brow and XYX Lab—join Metro and Archer editor Adolfo Aranjuez; movement-based performer Mossy 333; and Gunai/Kurnai, Gunditjmara, Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta woman, social commentator and writer Nayuka Gorrie; and new media artist and curator Xanthe Dobbie, in this important discussion focussing on art and literature originating from the margins of society, moderated by The Lifted Brow co-editor Annabel Brady-Brown.
