MPavilion 2017 December recap: The month in photos

December was a huge month at MPavilion, with all manner of activities taking place underneath the gridded roof of Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten / OMA’s MPavilion 2017. From film screenings (pictured above) and magazine launches to international artist talks and interactive workshops, we enjoyed a kaleidoscope of events for visitors of all ages.

We also hosted two special installations in December—Matthew Bird’s much-anticipated MProjects, An immersive encounter with the afterlife, complete with three performances and two panel discussions, and the playful Swings by OMA.

Elsewhere, we held magazine launches with The Lifted Brow; BLAKitecture, an open forum bringing together Indigenous built environment practitioners from across the country; a discussion and run around the city with local running crew AM:PM.RC; plus the finale of our DJ series with i-D, featuring fashion duo Maroske Peech.
