Stephanie Liddicoat is a researcher and architectural design academic at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Stephanie’s research interests are at the nexus of architecture and health, particularly in exploring service user perceptions of the built environment, and the relationship between space and wellbeing within healthcare settings. Stephanie’s PhD dissertation (completion 2017) explored the mental health service user perceptions of built environments and implications for design. She is also interested in participatory research design methodologies, and furthering the field of evidence based design, through such research projects. Stephanie has recently been involved in several masters design studios, conferences and research colloquia speaking about the built environment’s role in mental health, and the implications for design practice and urban planning.
